New Graham UV Line
Graham has recently finished the installation of a new state of the art stain and UV topcoat line in the 19th Street facility. Following weeks of installation and setup work, Graham is now in the production start up phase of the project that began over a year ago. A steady increase in order volume coupled with a higher demand for factory finished doors and increased throughput in the assembly and machining areas of the plant pushed the limits of the existing stain and topcoat processes. After evaluating several options and configurations, Stiles Machinery, and their manufacturing partner Cefla Finishing Systems, was selected in late 2007 to provide the new finishing system. Technicians from Cefla arrived in Mason City to begin preinstallation work in August. Equipment started arriving in October and the installation and setup of the line continued into December. Much appreciation goes to Tom Rattay, Plant Engineer and Russ Dalbech, Process Technician for the extensive planning and engineering support for this project and to the Graham maintenance crew who put in many hours of overtime during the preparation, installation and startup of this line.

Even More Eco-friendly
We have now added to our product line the option of Certified Wood Doors. Graham has been working with SmartWood and has been approved to manufacture and sell FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) products. The additional option of FSC certified doors adds to an already impressive product line to help building owners obtain credits toward LEED certified buildings. As with all Graham wood doors, owners and designers can select from a wide range of wood species and pre-finished colors and know that the doors they are choosing are not only a work of art on the outside, but also minimizing the impact on the environment we live in.
